Bengals Select Penn State Edge Rusher Chop Robinson in The Athletic's Latest Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — The Bengals' pass rush could get a boost in the first round of the NFL Draft this spring. The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner released his latest mock draft and has the Bengals taking Penn State edge rusher Demeioun "Chop" Robinson with the 18th pick.
Robinson is the 22nd-ranked player on the consensus big board and the fourth-best edge rusher.
"Robinson (6-foot-3, 254 pounds) is going to test off the charts this spring," Baumgardner wrote. "He has a 4.4 40-yard-dash speed and has posted a short-shuttle time of 4.22 seconds. His production has not matched his traits; however, his upside and potential positional versatility are undeniable. He hasn’t played like former Penn State star Micah Parsons, but he’s built like him."
Robinson played in just seven games this past season due to injury and posted 15 tackles with four sacks and two forced fumbles en route to a nasty 90.8 overall PFF grade (303 total snaps).
