Bengals Running Back Chase Brown is Excited to Play With Joe Burrow: He's an 'Absolute Dog'

Cincinnati took Brown in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals picked Illinois running back Chase Brown in the fifth-round (163rd overall) in the 2023 NFL Draft on Saturday. 

The 23-year-old can't wait to play with Joe Burrow. 

"I watched him in college, absolute dog," Brown said. "Tremendous player getting better every year and I'm excited to work with him."

Brown ran for 1,643 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He also had 27 receptions for 240 yards and three scores.

The 23-year-old is 5-9, 209 pounds. He ran a 4.43 40-yard dash and tested like an elite athlete during the pre-draft process.

 "You see his speed, you see vision, he's got really good patience as a ball carrier," running backs coach Justin Hill said.
