Grading The Deal: Bengals Deserve High Praise For Landing Orlando Brown Jr.

The 26-year-old signed a 4-year, $64 million deal with Cincinnati earlier this month.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals shocked the football world when they agreed to sign Orlando Brown Jr. to a 4-year, $64 million contract earlier this month.

Cincinnati has been searching for a franchise left tackle ever since Andrew Whitworth signed with the Rams in 2017.

Brown is a 4-time Pro Bowler and has logged at least 1,000 snaps in each of the past four seasons. His durability, pass blocking and power are all just a few of his strengths. Brown will fit well in the Bengals' offensive line room

This was one of the best moves that any team could make this offseason. The free agent pool of offensive linemen was shallow.

The Bengals got the best one available and they signed him to a value contract

Given the need to protect Joe Burrow and where the Bengals are drafting (28th overall), there's no way they deserve anything other than a top make. This was a grand slam signing by Cincinnati.

Grade: A+
