La'el Collins Progressing Through Rehab: 'Stacking Good Days on Top of Good Days'
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati right tackle La'el Collins is progressing closer and closer to a return from damaged knee ligaments as training camp presses on.
The 2022 free agent signing tore his left ACL, and MCL against New England on Christmas Eve last season. Now, he's working on the side of practices mounting a return.
"Every day, I'm able to do some different, I can tell that my knee's locked in there it's stable," Collins told AllBengals James Rapien. "It's not going anywhere."
Collins has the inside track on the swing tackle job behind Orlando Brown Jr. and Jonah Williams or the Bengals could choose to release him and save $7.7 million against the salary cap.
"It's all great signs," Collins said. "I mean, every day I come in. I do a little more. I feel a little better. I get a little stronger. So we've just been stacking good days on top of good days."
