Orlando Brown Jr. on Cincinnati: 'Plan is to Spend The Rest of my Career Here'
CINCINNATI — Orlando Brown Jr. is in the thick of his first Bengals training camp and already wants to spend the rest of his career in stripes.
Brown discussed the environment with All Bengals' James Rapien.
"It does feel like home," Brown said to Rapien. "My plan is to spend the rest of my career here. Play as long as I can. I can't say enough great things about the city man this team, you know, obviously Burrow man. Zac Taylor, Frank Pollack. You know, there's just so many great things and so many great pieces. ... The guys I'm suiting up with every single day and the community man. It's been a lot of open arms and I'm just appreciative and enjoying it, man. Just going to work every day, coming in grinding in practice, and be able to give back in the community as well where I can."
Fans can check out Brown and Rapien at Aces Pickleball in Norwood this coming Tuesday for a season kick-off event. Brown's ready to kick off a season where Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack's affording him a lot of leeway.
"He's done a great job with me just allowing me to play my game and coaching off of that," Brown said about Pollack. "So often you have a lot of offensive line coaches that dial in on specific techniques to say, this is the only way I want you to win. Frank's a realist—he played the game and did it for a while he's been coaching for a while. He's coached some of the best, and he's allowed me to continue to go out there every single day and better my game and allow me to be myself while also coaching off of that."
It could be the perfect mix to brew a career season out of Brown. We'll start finding out on Sept. 10.
