Solomon Wilcots on Bengals Keeping Star Trio Together: 'I Think You Have To Do That'

The former Bengals safety believes Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Joe Burrow will be in Cincinnati long-term.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — There's been plenty of chatter about the Bengals' ability to keep Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins together long-term.

The organization plans to keep the trio together. Former Bengals safety Solomon Wilcots doesn't think they have a choice.

"I think you have to do that," Wilcots said when asked about re-signing all three players. "They do have the resources to keep Tee Higgins and re-sign Joe Burrow to a contract extension because you can push some of it out. You gotta be able to get some off the books now and then still have enough in reserves to re-sign Ja'Marr Chase next year. We (the Bengals) can get that done, it's just a matter of the percentage of the cap do you give to the quarterback and his two receivers."

Burrow, Chase and Higgins are arguably the best quarterback and wide receiver combo in the NFL. All three players are still on their rookie contracts, although Burrow and Higgins are eligible for extensions this offseason.
