Tee Higgins on Free Agency: 'Cincinnati is There, That’s The Number One Option Right Now'
CINCINNATI — Tee Higgins has the Bengals as his "number one option right now" entering unrestricted free agency. The playmaker discussed his future with Bleacher Report's Scott Polacek.
Higgins amassed 656 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 42 catches this past season. That amounted to a career-high 15.6 yards per catch across 11 games played.
“It means a lot,” Higgins told Polacek. “Them telling me that they want me to come back, man, it’s family. We’ve been playing together for three or four years now, and I personally would love to be back playing with those guys. It’s not in my hands now, but when the time comes and Cincinnati is there, that’s the number one option right now.”
Higgins is the clear top receiving option on the market entering this cycle and should have plenty of interested suitors for Cincinnati to compete with.
One key thing to note is availability. According to Joe Goodberry, Higgins has only been on the field for 65% of the total Bengals snaps since he joined the team in 2020.
How that actually affects his next deal remains to be seen.
