Zac Taylor Gives Latest on Joe Burrow's Recovery: 'He's Different'

Taylor appeared on The Pat McAfee Show this week.

CINCINNATI — Zac Taylor appeared on The Pat McAfee show this week with some interesting comments on Joe Burrow. McAfee of course had to ask about Burrow's calf strain timeline in an attempt to shake the coach off of his vague stance.

"I feel good about the progress he's making right now," Taylor told McAfee. "That's what you're getting out of me."

Sticking firm. Taylor also dove into the winning qualities that have helped Burrow turn this franchise from a national joke to a perennial contender.

"He's different. He's rare. You have to be around him to be able to describe him," Taylor said. "He's got an edge to him at all times. He's just got that killer instinct and he's a champion. And he won't settle for anything less and so that's what you want in your quarterback and you've been around some great ones before. There's kind of a quality that's indescribable, and that's what Joe has. And so again, he's had a great attitude here in the building. We'll be excited to get him on the field whenever that happens, and he'll be ready to go and hopefully lead us to a great year."

Some things just can't be described. 

Burrow has met every expectation so far in his young career, with three big boxes still to check: NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and Super Bowl Champion.
