Zac Taylor: ‘I Like Joe Mixon’s’ Future is in Cincinnati

The Bengals don’t appear ready to move on from Mixon.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals sound ready to keep Joe Mixon for the 2023 season.

Head coach Zac Taylor basically confirmed his spot after the draft.

"His future is here with the team. I like Joe Mixon,” Taylor said to the media.

The Bengals face a decision of whether or not to keep him at a $12.7 million cap hit in 2023. It appears they will at least keep him on the roster.

If the team cuts him they would save as much as $10.1 million against the cap. All of that money could be used in various extensions for players like Joe Burrow or Tee Higgins.

A pay cut may come, but Mixon looks like he’ll be a Bengal in 2023.
