CINCINNATI — The Bengals have agreed to a one-year contract extension with star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, the team announced on Thursday.

The 28-year-old has made the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons and has 22 sacks over that span.

Hendrickson signed with the Bengals in free agency prior to the 2021 season. He's been an elite pass rusher in each of the past three seasons.

That means Cincinnati has their top defensive ends under contract through 2025: Sam Hubbard and Hendrickson.

We don't have contract details yet, but adding another year to Hendrickson's contract should mean extra cap space to use on potential extensions for Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins and Logan Wilson.
