Report: Bengals ‘Looming Large’ In Ezekiel Elliott Conversations

Cincinnati has not confirmed interest in the running back on its end.

CINCINNATI — ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler noted the Bengals “are looming large” when he discusses Ezekiel Elliott's landing spot around the league.

The free agent running back, listed Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and the Jets as his preferred destinations on Thursday

“People around the league believe the Bengals here could be looming large. I’m told they are looking to add a running back in either free agency or the draft,” Fowler said on NFL Live. “Either to pair with Joe Mixon or if they were to move on from Mixon they could save nearly $8 million against the cap.”

Elliot would likely fill the Samaje Perine role as a third-down running back option and solid pass protector for Joe Burrow

According to PFF, the former All-Pro running back was one of the top-10 players at his position in terms of pass protection efficiency last season.
