Bengals Signing Reid Sinnett to Practice Squad

Cincinnati had to add a quarterback following Will Grier's departure.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are signing quarterback Reid Sinnett to the practice squad according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. 

Sinnett spent most of training camp with the team, but was released during final cuts. 

The move comes just 15 hours after Will Grier opted to sign with the Patriots' 53-man roster after spending more than three weeks on the Bengals' practice squad. 

Sinnett could be a practice squad call up on Monday night when the Bengals play the Rams. 

Star quarterback Joe Burrow is hoping to play, despite a calf injury. Regardless of his status, it could be wise to have Sinnett ready to go behind backup quarterback Jake Browning. 

If Burrow can't play, then Sinnett would be Browning's backup.
