Cincinnati Bengals Among Favorites to Sign Derrick Henry in Free Agency

Will Cincinnati bolster their backfield with a former All-Pro?
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Could the Bengals make a run at former All-Pro running back Derrick Henry?

Cincinnati has the third-best odds to sign the 30-year-old according to Bookies.com.

Only the Patriots (+350) have better odds than the Bengals (+500). They listed seven other teams, all with lower odds than Cincinnati. Only New England and the field (+450) have better odds.

Henry ran for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns for Tennessee this season. With Mike Vrabel no longer in town and the Titans resetting, it's easy to see why the four-time Pro Bowler would leave Nashville. He's scheduled to become a free agent in March for the first time in his career.

Does he really fit the Bengals? He isn't known for his pass catching skills and he's still a quality player, so he could command more than they'd be willing to spend on an aging back.

Cincinnati would also have to decide to part ways with veteran running back Joe Mixon, who is under contract for 2024. Henry to the Bengals may sound intriguing, but it feels unlikely.

Check out the complete odds below:

New England Patriots +350 (22.2%)

Cincinnati Bengals +500 (16.7%)

Las Vegas Raiders +600 (14.3%)

New York Giants +850 (10.5%)

Tennessee Titans +1000 (9.1%)

Baltimore Ravens +1200 (7.7%)

New York Jets +1200 (7.7%)

Minnesota Vikings +1500 (6.3%)

Houston Texans +1800 (5.3%)

The Field +450 (18.2%)
