Five Senior Bowl Standouts That Could Give Cincinnati Bengals' Offense a Boost

Who should the Bengals be targeting to maximize their potential on offense?
In this story:

The Bengals have plenty of needs on offense going into this offseason. What Senior Bowl participants could they target in the 2024 NFL Draft?

Here's a quick run down of a few offensive players the Bengals should definitely have their eyes on following a successful week at the Senior Bowl:

Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU

Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports

Suamataia is going to be a late riser in this class. He has all the tools and traits you look for in an NFL tackle. He is going to be a high level tester at the combine.

His biggest flaws in college came from being underdeveloped. However, he showed flashes of what he can due with a few small tweaks in his game at the Senior Bowl and it was exciting to watch. I don't think Suamataia will end up being in the first round conversation, which means the Bengals could target him with the 49th overall pick. If they could grab him in the second round, that would be a huge improvement to the room overall not only for the short term, but the long term success of the group.

AJ Barner, TE, Michigan

Barner is one of the more interesting players the Bengals should be targeting. He is a well rounded tight end prospect that has shown good levels of success in the run game. As far as the Bengals' biggest issues in the run game, I thought they needed much more out of their tight ends. Barner would instantly improve that area. On top of his ability in the run game, he looks like a much better receiver than I anticipated. He has sure hands and solid ability at the catch point. Barner is a guy that I could see slipping to the back end of day two or even into day three of the draft.

Christian Haynes, IOL, UConn

Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports

I will be pounding the drum for Haynes all offseason. His impressive athleticism and ability to play bigger than his smaller frame makes him an intriguing prospect. Haynes could go off the board in the second or third round, even though he's projected to be a day three pick at the moment. As a multi-positional player, he would provide nice depth and competition to an offensive line room that could use an injection of young, athletic, talent.

Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports

McConkey is an intriguing prospect for me as I am not sure where he lands in this draft. His top end route running ability allows him to separate at a high level and while I don't know how his testing numbers are going to end up shaking out, on the field, he seems to have no issues with speed, explosiveness and quickness.

He is not only a reliable receiver, but has explosive after the catch ability. Overall, McConkey would help lighten the blow from the looming turnover in the Bengals' wide receiver room.

Ray Davis, RB, Kentucky

The Bengals need to add another running back this offseason and Davis could help bring more explosiveness to that room.

He's a well balanced back that has good short yardage power. He's a reliable pass catcher and flashes good burst in space. On top of all of this, he can fill a relative need as the Bengals' kick returner. Davis is projected to be a later round guy that could help on offense and special teams.
