Joe Burrow on Super Bowl LVI Loss: 'Sorry We Couldn't Get it Done'
INGLEWOOD, CALIF — The Rams beat the Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday.
Quarterback Joe Burrow took to social media to thank fans and apologize for the loss.
"Sorry we couldn’t get it done," he tweeted. "Proud of our team and our fans. Love these guys."
Burrow admitted he was going to celebrate this season, despite the loss. He also acknowledged that a loss on this stage would fuel the Bengals moving forward.
“We’re a young team," Burrow said. "You like to think that we’ll be back in this situation multiple times over the course of the next few years. We’ll take this and let it fuel you for the rest of our careers.”
