CINCINNATI — Court proceedings ended on Wednesday with no verdict in Joe Mixon's misdemeanor trial for one charge of aggravated menacing.

The trial will resume on Thursday and the Bengals star running back is expected to testify.

“Judge Gwen Bender says the prosecution will finish up tomorrow morning at 9 am,” WKRC’s Christian Hauser tweeted. “We believe the defense will only call Joe Mixon to testify. The prosecution says it may re-call the victim as a rebuttal to part of Mixon's testimony.”

The incident happened on Jan. 21, 2023 when Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman.

The 27-year-old allegedly told the victim, “You should be popped in the face. I should shoot you. The police can’t get me,” according to court records.

It stemmed from a traffic disagreement and Cincinnati City Prosecutor Amber Daniel requested a dismissal of the case in court this past February.

Daniel cited the need for further investigation, but the case has since moved forward with Mixon pleading not guilty. This is not tied to the shooting near Mixon's property that also happened this year.
