Greg Cosell Believes Mekhi Becton Would Be Good Fit With Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati is expected to sign an offensive tackle in free agency.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Should the Bengals sign former Jets first round pick Mekhi Becton in free agency?

Becton is only 24 years old. He was the 11th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Greg Cosell of NFL Films believes he's worth taking a flier on, even though he's dealt with injuries and struggled with the Jets over the past few seasons.

"He's big. He's athletic. He'd certainly be worth it," Cosell told Dan Hoard on the Bengals Booth Podcast. "You're talking about a big, athletic guy. He's really athletic for his size. Yeah, that's worth a flier."

Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack was with the Jets when they drafted Becton. He had his best season under Pollack, playing in 13 games and posting a 74.4 overall grade according to Pro Football Focus

Cosell shared plenty of insight about the Bengals' roster, potential free agent and draft targets during his conversation with Hoard. Listen to the entire interview below:
