Report: Joe Burrow Projects a Return to Throwing by Bengals' OTAs
CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow updated his status with ESPN's Ben Baby this week as he projects a return to throwing during the Bengals' OTAs in May.
Burrow has been out due to wrist surgery since November.
"I think middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything," Burrow told ESPN. "Over the next month (to) month and a half, we'll kind of decide all those things."
Cincinnati is focused on free agency and the draft in the coming weeks and months as their quarterback got some extra time to take a wider look at his game with the injury.
"I can lift basically normally now, which I'm excited about," Burrow said. "So the next two months, I'll basically be just doing what I've done for the last couple of years. Just the 12 weeks of extra work in the rearview."
Burrow is one of the top-five candidates to win the 2024 NFL MVP award and is one of the most important players in the NFL. A return to throwing for the full-team offseason period is great news.
