CINCINNATI — Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies spent hours inside Joe Mixon's house on Tuesday morning after responding to a "shots fired" call, but no arrests were made.

FOX19 is reporting Deputies responded to the 7900 block of Ayers Road around 8:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired in Anderson Township.

One child was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

FOX19 is also reporting that deputies extended crime scene tape around Mixon's home around 11 p.m. ET on Monday night.

Multiple deputies entered the home on Tuesday morning after arriving with an envelope. Three more deputies entered the home around 2 a.m. and left around 3:20 a.m. without making an arrest.

"This is an active investigation. That is all we have to release at this time," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Mixon was charged with misdemeanor aggravated menacing charges in February, but they were dismissed the next day

The 26-year-old has spent six seasons with the Bengals after they took him in the second-round (48th overall) in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Bengals Director of Player Personnel Duke Tobin wasn't sure if the team would retain Mixon this offseason when asked about the star running back at last week's NFL Combine. He is under contract and was considered a potential cut candidate due to his cap hit of $12.8 million for the 2023 season.
