CINCINNATI — Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly interested in joining the Bengals. It's unclear if the feeling is mutual with those inside the organization, but we think the 27-year-old makes a ton of sense for Cincinnati.

And we aren't alone. Stephen A. Smith believes Elliott would fit well alongside Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

"Ezekiel Elliott should be in Cincinnati," Smith said. "If you're Ezekiel Elliott you want to go some place where they got an elite and they definitely need some help at the running back spot in terms of short yardage situations or those [short] spurts that you're talking about, but they don't necessarily need you to carry the load.

"You got Joe Burrow throwing that football. You Ja'Marr Chase catching it and Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd. Excuse me, the work [for Elliott] would be sporadic. You want to go to a place that passes the football more than running the football, but when they need to run the football, they don't mind handing it off to somebody like you."
