Zac Taylor Laughs At Ezekiel Elliott Rumblings: 'It's Always Funny When Things Get Thrown Around'

The 27-year-old was released by the Cowboys earlier this month.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Eagles, Jets and Bengals were in the mix for former Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

WCPO's Mike Dyer asked Bengals head coach Zac Taylor about the report during the St. Xavier High School Sports Stag.

"There's a lot of great players that are available right now," Taylor said. "We like our team as where it's at right now. It's always funny when things get thrown around. Sometimes it's the first you hear of it, but that's just the way life works."

That doesn't mean the Bengals aren't interested in the former All-Pro running back, but Taylor certainly didn't confirm they were hoping to land Elliott either.

The Cowboys released the 27-year-old earlier this month. He spent the past seven seasons in Dallas, running for 8,262 yards and 68 touchdowns.
