Bills' DaQuan Jones Reacts to Derrick Henry Trade Rumors: 'Uh Oh!'
The Tennessee Titans are reportedly open to trading star running back Derrick Henry, and the Buffalo Bills have been a team speculated as being a suitor.
Unfortunately for Buffalo, the news - which was first reported by trusted NFL voice Michael Silver - doesn't give any indication that the Bills are in talks for a potential deal.
But this hasn't stopped Bills defensive tackle DaQuan Jones from perking up at the news, as he used very few words and some emojis on Twitter Monday to express his desire for Henry to be traded to Buffalo.
Jones seems to think a Bills-Henry pairing would be a problem for the rest of the league.
"Uh oh!" Jones tweeted alongside the classic eyes emoji with red and blue circles to represent Bills colors. The message couldn't have been more simple or clearer.
Henry remains one of the league's top running backs and overall players after finishing second in the league this past season in both rushing yards (1,538) and rushing yards per game (96.1), first in carries (349) and tied for second in rushing touchdowns (13).
Aside from the three divisional rivals in the AFC South, Henry has faced the Bills five times in his career, more than any other opponent. In those games, he's totaled 83 carries for 359 yards and seven touchdowns. The Bills likely still have nightmares from when Henry posted 20 carries for 143 yards and three scores in a 34-31 win over Buffalo in 2021.
Henry has faced the Bills every season since 2018 and is all too familiar with the team. Maybe Buffalo takes this a step further a makes him permanent part of the group with what would be a blockbuster trade.
But as of now, Jones - and the rest of Bills Mafia may just have to keep dreaming about what it would be like to add Henry to an elite offense as the rumor-filled offseason treads on.
