'Taxes Still Trash!': Micah Hyde Reacts as Bills Re-Sign DB Jordan Poyer

By re-signing safety Jordan Poyer in free agency, the Buffalo Bills reunited him with fellow defensive back Micah Hyde - who's glad to have his running mate back in the picture but remains anti-state tax.

Despite making it abundantly clear that he disliked New York's state taxes, safety Jordan Poyer is back with the Buffalo Bills, as the sides agreed on a two-year contract Wednesday.

Poyer earned his first-career Pro Bowl nod this past season, his 10th as a professional, after recording 63 tackles and four interceptions in 12 games while battling a variety of injuries.

Now back in the fold, Poyer is reunited with safety Micah Hyde on the back end; the two are close friends and were named All-Pro's in 2021.

As such, it's little surprise who Poyer tweeted at shortly after news broke of his return to Buffalo ...

Hyde responded within 15 minutes, sending the "laughing" and "shaking hands" emojis to Poyer - with a particularly strong message sent in a hashtag.

Poyer, less than 10 minutes later, hit back with "no lies detected" and told Hyde he loves him.

Poyer, 31, and Hyde, 32, arrived in Buffalo together, bringing a new safety tandem in 2017 and starring while the Bills have ascended to a perennial playoff team.

Hyde, who's under contract through 2023, suffered a neck injury in Week 2 that later required surgery and ultimately proved to end his season ... and could've marked his final moments with Poyer.

Instead, the dynamic duo is back in Buffalo - even with the costly state taxes still in the picture.
