Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen Wins Second AFC Offensive Player of Week

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, making it the third straight week that a Bills player has earned weekly honors.

For the second time this season, Josh Allen was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Allen turned in arguably the best performance of his career on Sunday in the Buffalo Bills' 48-20 win over the Miami Dolphins (3-1) at Highmark Stadium. He was 21 of 25 for 320 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for an 11-yard touchdown in the one-sided win.

With his performance against Miami, Allen became the first quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards, four passing touchdowns, run for a touchdown and have a perfect passer rating of 158.3 since Aaron Rodgers accomplished the feat in Week 7 in 2019.

Allen also won the award for Week 2 performance in Buffalo's 38-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He completed 31 of 37 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns against Las Vegas on Sept. 17.

The Bills quarterback has now won the award 12 times in his career, and he holds the franchise record.

Allen winning the award marks the third straight week a player on the Bills has won the award. Buffalo linebacker Terrel Bernard won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week after its 37-3 win over the Washington Commanders.

Allen's growth in the last three weeks has spearheaded a dominant three-game stretch for the Bills (3-1). They've outscored their last three opponents 123-33 and have won each game by at least 28 points during that stretch. Allen has only turned the ball over once since Week 1 when he threw three interceptions and lost a fumble.

He's at his best when he's able to extend plays and take risks without making mistakes. During Buffalo's three-game winning streak, Allen has threaded that needle beautifully and has his team looking like the juggernaut of the AFC as a result.

Buffalo will have a chance to continue its momentum this Sunday when they travel across the pond to face the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2) at 9:30 a.m. ET at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
