The Buffalo Bills' devastating playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday didn't just mark a disappointing end to the season, but potentially the end of some outstanding careers in Western New York.

Perhaps the most notable player to potentially don the Bills uniform for the final time is safety Micah Hyde, who has been with Buffalo since 2017. The 33-year-old is set to hit free agency in March, and if his departure seemed likely before, Tuesday's events made it that much more so.

Not only did Hyde say he has "no idea what the future holds" in Buffalo's exit interviews. but his wife Amanda Hyde posted what appears to be a heartfelt goodbye to Bills Mafia on social media.

"This is really the city of good neighbors, and what a privilege it has been," Amanda Hyde wrote. "Thank you for making this place our home. Thank you for being so good to us. Thank you for making each season so special. And thank you for making this place so hard to leave. You will always have a piece of our hearts, and man, do we love you guys!"

Rachel Bush, wife of fellow Bills safety Jordan Poyer, also appeared to signal the Hydes' departure, posting an Instagram story with the caption "Love you forever ever!!" directed at Amanda Hyde.

A former Pro Bowl selection, Micah Hyde finished the season with 54 total tackles, seven passes defended and two interceptions. Injuries have taken a toll on him recently, as he played just two games last season due to a neck injury. That injury followed him into this season as well, as he missed three games due to recurring neck stingers.

The Bills and their fanbase are already reeling from their latest playoff defeat, and likely losing a fan-favorite like Micah Hyde won't help. However, Amanda Hyde is confident that brighter days are to come for Bills Mafia.

"Buffalo is special y'all!" Amanda Hyde wrote. "This might sting now, but believe this - this city will get theirs. And even if it may be our time to say goodbye, know that no matter where we go, or what may be next, the Hydes will happily be promoted from the roster to The Mafia, because when it all comes down to it, where else would you rather be than right here, right now?"
