Bills Mock Draft: Buffalo Picks Elite LB Drew Sanders, Key Offensive Depth

In this three-round mock draft, the Bills add depth on offense and a potential key starter on defense.

While the Buffalo Bills only have six picks in the upcoming draft, they are in a position where their roster is not in need of a major retool but rather a piece or two away from finally getting over the hump in the playoffs.

As such, there are several routes they could go down with their six picks. In CBS Sports' latest three-round mock draft, they give the Bills help at three key positions.

Rd. 1 No. 27 - Drew Sanders - LB (Arkansas)

"Sanders is a former five-star who transferred from Alabama after the 2021 season and all he did was show out for the Razorbacks. He was an edge rusher for the Crimson Tide but he lined up all over the defense for Arkansas and he's been a one-man wrecking crew when he's on the field."

After losing Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears this offseason, the Bills could go and draft his potential replacement at No. 27 in Drew Sanders.

In his one season at Arkansas he wreaked havoc on opposing offenses, recording 103 total tackles with 13.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks while also forcing three fumbles and hauling in an interception.

Sanders wouldn't be a one-for-one replacement of Edmunds, but plugging him into an already elite Bills defense could help him transition to the NFL.

Joining Sanders in Buffalo in this three-round mock draft is Texas running back Roschon Johnson and Alabama offensive lineman Emil Ekiyor.

The Bills have been linked to Johnson's running mate at Texas, Bijan Robinson, with the No. 27 pick countless times. While Robinson is an elite back, Johnson himself was no slouch - rushing for 554 yards and six touchdowns in his final season at Texas.

As for Ekiyor, he would add depth to a Bills offensive line that at times struggled with consistency last season and has already added former Rams guard David Edwards this offseason.

On paper, this is a Bills roster that does not have any glaring holes that need immediate fixing - a luxury that will allow them to bolster their roster in hopes of finally getting back to the Super Bowl.
