The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been hanging tough with the San Francisco 49ers so far this afternoon.

The Bucs opened the second half with the ball, trailing by a score of 13-7 on the road at Levi's Stadium. After the Bucs' were forced to punt, San Francisco had to start their opening possession of the half from inside their own 5-yard line.

Just a couple of plays later, Brock Purdy hit Brandon Aiyuk on a go route down the sideline, with Jamel Dean in single coverage.

Dean dove into the air to make a play on the ball, but twisted awkwardly in the air, hitting the ground with a substantial amount of force. Meanwhile, after completing the catch, Aiyuk trotted the remaining 42-yards to the endzone untouched.

When it was all said and done, Aiyuk had secured his 76-yard touchdown pass, giving the 49ers a 19-7 lead, while the Buccaneers' starting corner lay on the ground in obvious pain.

Adding insult to injury on the play for the Buccaneers was the fact that Dean was unable to walk off on his own power. After being helped off to the sideline, he was eventually carted off to the locker room with what the team is describing as a left foot/ankle injury.

Hopefully for the Buccaneers, and Jamel Dean, the injury turns out to be less serious than it appears to be right now.
