Chris Godwin Shares Strong Thoughts On Tom Brady Returning With Buccaneers
Legendary quarterback Tom Brady will be largely remembered not just for his seven Super Bowl wins, but also for the time that he retired and un-retired with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
When Brady finally made his departure from the New England Patriots, speculation loomed large on his landing spot. He did what he was supposed to achieve in Tampa Bay, winning the squad a Super Bowl in his first season.
After a rather disappointing follow-up season, Brady announced his first retirement. Later on in the offseason, Brady un-retired. So, naturally, when Brady retired from the Buccaneers once again, there was speculation on his potential return.

However, it seems as if Brady is done for good this time. He's investing in pro sports and taking a year off before hitting the broadcast booth.
Former teammate and wide receiver target Chris Godwin spoke out about any speculation that Brady would return while at The Rich Eisen Show
"I'd be surprised if [Brady] came out of retirement again," Godwin said to Eisen. "Put me down for that, I'd be very, very shocked."
Godwin is doing the right thing by cutting to the chase. There's no point in speculating, and Godwin allows fans to embrace a new journey and era in Tampa Bay.
"We talked a couple of times since he's been retired but not like within the last couple of months," Godwin said. "He's been doing this for so long and how he's finally retired. I think it's cool to see him getting to spend as much time as he has with his family, but also see him get out there and open himself up."
Rooting for a Brady return is fun, but no longer sensical. Again, Brady has moved on to other ventures and seems more than content. His Buccaneers tenure, which has three playoff appearances and a Super Bowl, was a great final stretch of his career.
