Star Linebacker Devin White Attends Beginning Of Buccaneers' Mandatory Minicamp

Could the trade drama be over between Devin White and the Buccaneers?
In this story:

The back-and-forth drama that has surrounded the Buccaneers this offseason started when star linebacker Devin White publically requested a trade from the team after a failure by the team to begin contract extension talks.

Since the initial trade request, things have been rocky between the two sides as White has taken subtle jabs at the organization while the Buccaneers' front office and coaching staff maintained that they would not be trading White prior to the final year of his rookie contract. That has ultimately forced White's hand on whether or not he would participate this offseason and into the 2023 regular season.

There was much to be curious about when it comes to what White's decision would be, but it seemed that he would at some point return to One Buc Place this offseason to join his teammates and show that he will indeed still play for the Buccaneers in 2023.

White missed the Buccaneers' voluntary workouts and OTAs, but with mandatory minicamp getting underway White decided to show, albeit without any pads or helmet in hand.

For the Buccaneers it is a welcome sight to see one of their captains back in the fold this offseason, especially after all the drama that occurred prior to workouts. If White is serious about getting a nice payday following this upcoming season, he will need to prove himself once again as his play has slipped in recent seasons following his coming out party in 2020 on the Bucs' way to their second-ever Super Bowl victory.
