VIDEO: Baker Mayfield Throws First Touchdown Strike to Mike Evans

After a rough start to his Tampa Bay Buccaneers tenure, Baker Mayfield gets on the board with his first score on the team.

Baker Mayfield had a rough start to his Buccaneers tenure on his first few drives. He completed three of his first 11 passes but had a much better drive as the second half winded down.

Thankfully for Mayfield, the Buccaneers have held the Minnesota Vikings offense so far, giving the offense plenty of chances to keep this one within arms reach.

On his last drive of the first half, he completed three of his four passes and found Mike Evans in the end zone for his first score as a Buccaneers. The 28-yard passing touchdown sparked some life for the team after a stagnant start to the game -- both on the ground and in the air.

How to Watch Buccaneers vs. Vikings: Kickoff Time, TV Channel and Odds

The first drive consisted of Mayfield starting the game off by completing one of his three passes for a three-and-out for the Buccaneers.

With things looking stale, Buccaneers fans can find peace in the connection between Mayfield and Evans, as the two will have to remain consistent as a duo moving forward. If those two can't find some chemistry, the offense is going to see some dark days.

So far, the defense and special teams has kept the Buccaneers well in this game, and the offense will have to continue providing positive value for the team.
