Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown is known for his speed on the field, though last season it was his speed off the field that landed him in serious trouble.

Brown - who was acquired during the 2022 NFL Draft- was clocked doing 126 MPH in a 65 MPH by the I-17 and loop 101 last year.

He was pulled over and immediately ordered to get out of the car.

"The hell you going that fast for?!" asked the officer while handcuffing him.

"Sorry, I was on my way to football practice, sir," said Brown before saying he was new to the state. His car was ultimately impounded.

"I didn't realize I was going that fast."

Full interaction here:

Brown plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of excessive speed after initially being faced with a criminal charge. The judge ultimately waived the $473 fine he was set to pay and gave Brown credit for time served.

Brown and then-head coach Kliff Kingsbury spoke to media after the incident, both expressing regret and remorse.

Both on and off the field, Brown hopes 2023 is better in multiple facets.
