Arizona Cardinals WR Marquise Brown is ready to take the next step in 2023.

At training camp, he met with reporters and discussed the Cardinals looking to surprise everybody this season along with Arizona's slew of quarterbacks.

After being acquired by the Cardinals via trade with the Baltimore Ravens last offseason, Arizona believed they could build one of the top 1-2 punch combos in the league with Brown and DeAndre Hopkins at the helm.

A six-game suspension for Hopkins kept him off the field to begin the season. Brown fractured his foot just as Hopkins was clear to return, and the duo only played a handful of games together in what was an undoubtedly rocky year from top to bottom for Arizona.

Now - operating in a new scheme - Brown hopes the Cardinals can take advantage of their underdog role moving forward.

A big part of their success could rely on the health of quarterback Kyler Murray, who is currently working his way back from an ACL tear and is expected to miss some time in 2023.

Regardless of who is at quarterback in Arizona, Brown hopes to make the most of his opportunity as their WR1 in the final year of his contract.
