No Cardinals Found on NFL Top 25 And Under List

No Arizona Cardinals were found on a list of the league's best young players.

It's not a rare occurrence for the Arizona Cardinals and most of their players to be absent on any "best of" lists/articles, and that was again the case in The Athletic's top 25 players under the age of 25 piece recently released.

The list utilized five NFL coaches and seven front-office executives for anonymous opinions.

The Cardinals are in the midst of a rebuild and have stripped the roster down in order to build it back up. Arizona didn't exactly hit any obvious home runs in recent drafts, at least not big enough to crack this list.

That's not a knock on the recent crop of talent in the desert - guys such as Paris Johnson Jr. and Michael Wilson could very well emerge as big names down the road.

Yet as it stands, the biggest name for the Cardinals in the "25-and-under" category would be Isaiah Simmons, who is still looking to prove himself despite the obvious talent he possesses. Other names such as Rondale Moore and Zaven Collins could be in that conversation, too.

Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson topped the list of players followed by Micah Parsons, Nick Bosa, Pat Surtain II and Ja'Marr Chase to round out the top five.

Only two teams from the NFC West made an appearance on the list. The 49ers can claim Nick Bosa and Talanoa Hufuanga while the Seattle Seahawks saw DK Metcalf picked as well.

The Los Angeles Rams join Arizona as the other team in the division with no representation, though their roster was stripped after going (successfully) all in on a Super Bowl ring.
