Cardinals Fans React to Preseason Finale Win vs Vikings
The Arizona Cardinals wrapped up preseason play with a 18-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings without a majority of their starters.
Players who did not suit up for the preseason finale according to Cardinals team reporter Darren Urban: Zach Pascal, Kyler Murray, Marquise Brown, Budda Baker, James Conner, Kyzir White, Colt McCoy, Kei'Trel Clark, Michael Wilson, Jeff Driskel, Marco Wilson, Zaven Collins, Antonio Hamilton, Jalen Thompson, Myjai Sanders, Dennis Gardeck, Victor Dimukeje, Elijah Wilkinson, Paris Johnson, Hjalte Froholdt, D.J. Humphries, Will Hernandez, Trey McBride, Zach Ertz, Jonathan Ledbeter, Leki Fotu, L.J. Collier, Rondale Moore
Still, the Cardinals were able to grit out a win in their finale ahead of roster cuts coming on Tuesday.
Much of the talk came with Arizona's white uniforms making their debut:
With McCoy sitting, it was again the Clayton Tune show. After a sack/fumble on his opening drive, Tune managed to bounce back and deliver some strong throws before David Blough took over.
Matt Prater nailed what was eventually the game-winning field goal with just over two minutes remaining, though he missed two attempts prior.
His performance led some to believe maybe it's time to move on.
With starters sitting, the Cardinals gave plenty of opportunities for players down the depth chart to make plays. It's hard to find somebody who took the opportunity better than OLB Zach McCloud, who registered three sacks on the day despite being signed just a few days prior.
Not much to report following this game - things will be much different when the Cardinals next take the field, which will be in Washington for Week 1 of the regular season.
