Cardinals QB Kyler Murray Has Statue Unveiled at Oklahoma Spring Game
Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray continues to rehab from his torn ACL and hopes to return to action sooner than later during the 2023 season.
Murray himself has been relatively busy over the last few days - featuring in the team's official uniform unveiling on Thursday before eventually making the trek back to Norman, OK this weekend to see the statue the Oklahoma Sooners football program constructed to honor his legacy ahead of their spring game.
Murray played one season at Texas A&M as a freshman before transferring to Oklahoma, where he ultimately played two seasons.
Accolades include winning the Heisman Trophy, Davey O'Brien Award, Manning Award, AP College Football Player of the Year, Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, First-team All-American and First-team All-Big 12.
In 2017 he spent the year backing up Baker Mayfield (who won the Heisman Trophy himself) before emerging as the starter in 2018, leading the Sooners to a Big 12 Championship and an appearance in the College Football Playoff.
