Cardinals Player Makes Draft Prediction: 'That's Too Easy!'

Arizona Cardinals OT D.J. Humphries made his 2024 NFL Draft prediction.
In this story:

ARIZONA -- Seemingly everybody has thrown their two cents in to what the Arizona Cardinals should do in the 2024 NFL Draft, and that now stretches to players actively on the team.

Left tackle D.J. Humphries appeared on NetWorth With Justin Pugh and was asked what he would do if he were the Cardinals, who currently hold the No. 4 pick:

"That's easy! We know who we need to draft. His dad's a Hall of Famer," said Humphries, who alluded to Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., a very popular pick to Arizona in mock drafts.

"If you're in that position, who else? Like that's the best available pick. That's what I think. If those other three teams are going to fight over a quarterback, then that's the best available pick, right?"

Teams ahead of Arizona such as the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders and New England Patriots are highly favored to take a quarterback.

Podcast host Justin Pugh - who previously played for the Cardinals - suggested the possibility of trading down.

Humphries said he would if the price was right, but there's no denying who players want:

"Adding him [Harrison] to the cast we already got too, we just need another piece here. So being able to add him to the cast we already got - I don't know what else you could do," said Humphries.

"Unless it was something where we traded this for this and we got so much capital for the picks and all of that - that's too easy."

The Cardinals were impressed with Harrison after their meeting at the NFL Combine, you can read more about that here.

Humphries is not the only player in Arizona's locker room who shares that opinion, either. All Cardinals has spoke with other players who want Harrison to land in the desert, too.

As for Humphries, he also spoke to Pugh about recovery from a late-season ACL tear.

“Everything was great with the knee. Swelling is way down. Moving good, past 90 degree flexion & got my extension back. We’re rolling man. Two more weeks I’ll be off these damn crutches, I’m so excited," said Humphries.
