Former Arizona Cardinals RB Eno Benjamin tore his Achilles and will be out for the rest of the season, according to New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen.

Benjamin entered the league as a seventh-round pick in 2020 but did not play a single game for the Cardinals during his rookie season.

2021 saw him notch his first rushing touchdown and he was a strong special teams contributor in 2022 before he was shockingly released last November. Several reports suggested he was unhappy with a "diminished role" and got into confrontation with an assistant coach.

The Houston Texans claimed him on waivers but released him a month later. The following day he was claimed by the New Orleans Saints and had been with the team since.

The Saints now take another hit to their backfield after it was announced yesterday that Alvin Kamara would be suspended the first three games of the season.
