PHOENIX -- The Arizona Cardinals are still one of two teams that have yet to fill their head coaching vacancy, joining the Indianapolis Colts as the lone two teams to not have a head coach as Super Bowl LVII kicks off.

The Cardinals have reportedly narrowed their search down to two candidates: New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Cincinnati Bengals DC Lou Anarumo.

Kafka's current head coach - Brian Daboll - praised him on the red carpet of the NFL Honors earlier this week:

“First of all, he’s a great person, great family man, extremely bright individual, played the quarterback position at Northwestern, learned under coach (Andy Reid) and did a fantastic job for us for our staff this year,” Daboll said while on the NFL Honors red carpet to Arizona Sports' Tyler Drake.

“I know he’s a tireless worker, he’s extremely bright, he’s good with the quarterback,” Daboll added. “He was a great person to have on our staff.”

Daboll isn't the lone person to praise Kafka this week, as former quarterback Patrick Mahomes also had great things to say on his former quarterbacks coach.

Andy Reid also vouched for him.
