Report: Brian Flores to Get Second Interview With Cardinals
Over the weekend, we learned of two coaches (Mike Kafka and Lou Anarumo) that are set to interview with the Arizona Cardinals a second time.
Now, you can add a third.
Ian Rapoport reports that Brian Flores is set to meet again with the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Kafka is expected to interview with the Cardinals on Tuesday while Anarumo will meet with the team on Friday. Flores, as Rapoport referenced in the tweet above, will interview with the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Flores initially was one of the first four prospects the Cardinals pegged, but some time has passed since his first interview with Arizona. Things fell quiet on his end, as he was once considered a frontrunner for the job before falling behind other names.
Flores joined the Steelers' staff after being fired from the Miami Dolphins after three seasons of service. He is a strong defensive mind and many believe he is capable of doing much more with a better situation in a potential second stint at head coach.
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the Cardinals are interested in speaking with Lions DC Aaron Glenn, though that's not yet confirmed by anybody else.
Arizona may also want to interview Philadelphia Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon, but will have to wait until after the Super Bowl to do so.
The Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts are the two teams that have yet to hire anybody.
