Report: Teams Trying to Trade With Cardinals for Jalen Carter
TEMPE -- We're less than an hour away from the 2023 NFL Draft, and the Arizona Cardinals still are trying to sort through their options for the No. 3 overall pick.
On one hand, the Cardinals could very well stay put and take a cornerstone player to anchor their team moving forward. Names such as Will Anderson Jr., Tyree Wilson and Paris Johnson have been the most rumored names.
However, the Cardinals have been heavily favored to move down for quite awhile now, and now a potential target for teams has emerged.
The Score's Jordan Schultz has reported teams are trying to move up to as high as No. 3 for the talents of Georgia Bulldogs DL Jalen Carter.
This bodes well for the Cardinals - who will have even more suitors for their No. 3 pick on top of the expected teams trying to move up for a quarterback.
Potential teams to watch are the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans.
Carter's talent on the field can't be questioned, but concerns over his character rose after he allegedly lied to police about his involvement in a fatal car crash that included a teammate and Georgia staff member. He did not participate at the NFL Combine and had a rather disappointing Pro Day.
At least one team (sources say the Las Vegas Raiders) dropped him from their boards.
