One of the biggest questions entering the season for the Los Angeles Chargers was if the team would be able to avoid the injury bug. Every team deals with injuries throughout the season, but the Chargers needed their main guys to be out there to find any success on the field.

They especially needed their big-time defensive players to remain healthy, but it seems that they are already falling victim to the injury issues. Defensive end Joey Bosa was limited last season due to injury, and the hope was that he could come back stronger than ever.

However, his status for the team's upcoming game on the road against the Tennessee Titans remains in question. He did some drills during practice Friday but didn’t have a helmet on. This doesn’t bode well for his status this weekend.

If Bosa were to miss the game, it would be a major loss to the Bolts defense. He is one of their leaders on the defensive side of the ball, and he forces offenses to focus on him at all times. If a team slips up, Bosa can make them pay very quickly, due to his ability to get off the line.

The game against Tennesee is a big one for the Chargers since they dropped the opening game of the year to the Miami Dolphins. They can’t afford to go 0-2 to open the new year, especially with the two losses being against two AFC squads.

This will certainly be something to keep an eye on over the next couple of days before kickoff. Hopefully, Bosa can get himself healthy enough to give it a go on Sunday. But the team also could be cautious with the injury, especially so early in the new season.
