Chargers News: Latest On Concussion Status Of Jimmy Garoppolo Ahead Of Bolts-Raiders

The Chargers need to be prepared no matter who is under center for Vegas!

The Los Angeles Chargers are getting ready to take on the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend from Sofi Stadium, but Las Vegas could be missing a key piece to their team. Raiders starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has been dealing with a concussion this week, and his status remains uncertain for the game.

However, it is being reported that the team is optimistic that he will be able to suit up against the Bolts this weekend. Garoppolo does need to pass the concussion protocol first, but Las Vegas is hopeful that he will be able to do so.

If Garoppolo isn't able to play in this game, the Chargers will be taking on longtime NFL quarterback Brian Hoyer in all likelihood. But either way, the Chargers should prepare like Garoppolo will be under center for the Raiders.

They must come into this game ready to go, with a desperate mentality. They sit with a record of 1-2, but they could have easily been 0-3 if not for a last-minute interception by the defense at the end of the game last week.

Los Angeles can't afford to take the Raiders for granted here, and while Garoppolo hasn't played very well this season, he is more than capable of putting together a solid game.

The Bolts defense will need to come up big in this matchup and make sure they always know where Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is.

Adams torched the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense last week and will look to do the same against Los Angeles this weekend. He can change the game instantly, so the Bolts' secondary will need to step up in this matchup.

This will be a good test for the Chargers to see if they can get back to 2-2 against a tough divisional opponent in Las Vegas.
