Getting any kind of recognition from another coach in the NFL is a big plus, but when it comes from Sean McVay, it just means a little bit more. McVay gave Brandon Staley some acknowledgment when it came to his defensive style of coaching. Staley formerly worked under McVay as the Rams' defensive coordinator in 2020.

The Chargers linebacker corps got a little bit better over the offseason. They added long-time Minnesota Viking Eric Kendricks to the squad, and it seems like that might've been an upgrade. But not everybody is convinced that the position got any better; just ask one Raiders pundit.
