The Los Angeles Chargers will be making some big decisions very soon as the 2023 NFL Draft kicks off later this month on April 27. After an offseason that has seen them mostly retain some important pieces, fans will be watching closely to see what college talent fills out the rest of the roster.

A hometown hero story could be in the works! One of the most highly-touted wide receivers in the nation, Jordan Addison, is coming off of a season at the University of Southern California that saw him score 81 touchdowns and record over 800 yards. The young prospect will be meeting with multiple teams prior to the draft with the Bolts included.

However, Addison himself revealed in an interview with Rich Eisen that he has ties with the Los Angeles organization that were not previously known. Chargers offensive coach Chris Beatty recruited Addison multiple times in college and could be doing the same now.

"The receiving coach that recruited me at Maryland, he ended up going to Pitt," said Addison. "And by his second day on the job, he ended up calling me again from the new school offering me the same scholarship. After my freshman year, the receiving coach that recruited me there, he had left and took a job with the Chargers."

It is these types of actions that build life-long relationships. Addison was in the successful roles and programs thanks to the help of Beatty.

If Addison followed Beatty before, he may do the same and they'll reunite in the NFL.
