Commanders' FedEx Field a 'S***hole', Says NFL Insider

FedEx Field has been the home of the Washington Commanders since 1997.

The Washington Commanders are close to being sold, and with a new owner could come a new stadium.

The Commanders could certainly benefit from one, especially given all of the troubles FedEx Field has gone through in recent years.

Pro Football Talk had some choice words about FedEx Field and the Commanders' need to get a new stadium built.

“If I was FedEx, what I would do at this point is pay even more money for them to put UPS on FedEx Field. Please name it after out top competitor because that place is a s***hole,” Pro Football Talk said.

FedEx Field has been the franchise's home since 1997 and celebrated 25 years this past season, but renovations and upgrades have come few and far between.

There has been talk to move the team's home from Landover, Md. back to Washington, D.C. where the team played for many years.

According to Front Office Sports, a return to Robert F. Kennedy Stadium could potentially be in the works. RFK Stadium was the home of the Washington Commanders from 1961 to 1996.

“The league and Mayor Bowser agree that Washington, D.C., should be at the table when a new site is considered,” an NFL spokesperson said. “We will continue to work with the mayor’s office, the Commanders, and Congress to that end — just like we are in contact with local officials in Maryland and Virginia as they review site and stadium options.”

It's obvious the Commanders need a new home, and there's even more noise pointed towards it now.
