Championship Time In DFW! Dallas Cowboys And More All Play At Once

The City of Dallas adds to history with five different sports programs - including the Cowboys - in season at the same time

It is hard to think of a better place to be right now than Dallas.

When Dallas comes to mind, most think solely of the Cowboys … and rightly so, but the city is crawling with sporting opportunities.

But this year things are extra special as for the first time since 2010, and only the second occurrence ever … five different DFW sports programs will be in season all at once.

Perhaps the biggest event this week will be Game 1 of the MLB World Series as the Texas Rangers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday.

After not making postseason play for the last six seasons, it has been a quick turnaround in DFW. Not only is it Year One under new manager Bruce Bochy, but the Rangers claimed their first pennant since 2011 and are looking to win their first World Series Championship in program history.

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a bye week and heading into Week 8 of the NFL season as they play the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

After an exciting start to the season, injuries and the San Francisco 49ers slowed the Cowboys down … but with the second half of the season left to play, the Cowboys in some part, still control their own destiny.

The Dallas Mavericks opened up their 2023 season on Wednesday beating the San Antonio Spurs 126-119.

After a disappointing season, finishing 38-44 and no postseason play … the Mavs are looking to get back on track with a relatively healthy Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving leading the pack.

Suppose the Holy Trinity of sports is not of interest. In that case, the Stars…the professional ice hockey team based in Dallas continue their season on Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Stars are six games into the season and only have one loss coming to the defending Stanley Cup champions the Vegas Golden Knights.

And last but not least, FC Dallas, the Dallas-Fort Worth-based Major League Soccer club plays the Seattle Sounders FC in the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs on Monday the 30th.

Just like the Cowboys…FC Dallas's most recent win was a 4-1 match against a Los Angeles-based team in the LA Galaxy.

This will be the fifth time in the last nine years that Seattle and Dallas have met in the postseason and every time they meet…it is an instant classic.

Between all five of these teams, there are ample opportunities to be physically a part of this historic time in DFW. The Stars play Thursday at 7 p.m. at American Airlines, the Rangers play Game 1 at 7:03 at Globe Life Field on Friday, and ... to close the weekend out, the Cowboys play at AT&T on Sunday at noon.
