'Too Cruel'? Cowboys' Micah Parsons Defends Dak in Stephen A. Smith Debate
FRISCO - Micah Parsons took down Stephen A. Smith on the NBA All-Star Weekend basketball court with a move that sent the ESPN loudmouth to the hospital.
Micah also took on Smith in a debate about the media and its unfair treatment of his Dallas Cowboys teammate Dak Prescott.
"You analyze everyone differently (than you do Dak),'' Parsons alleged, as the conversation devolved into a silly shouting match, with Smith trying to twist the visit by saying ...
"Hold it! You are implying that we are being too cruel with Dak Prescott?''
Replied Micah, five times: "Not to the same extent.''
But tucked in there is Parsons' belief that all that really matters is who wins the Super Bowl ... and Dallas defensive star did accept some blame for not providing Prescott enough help as the Cowboys once again fell short in the postseason.
"There's got to be an important time when Dak does throw a pick ... When I have to say, 'Yo, No. 4, you do not have to stress, I got you. ... In the Green Bay game, we could have done better. ...
"That's why I don't agree that it was just Dak Prescott. I know we could've done (better) defensively.''
This is an upgrade from some of Parsons' previous remarks in which he's suggested that he did all he could in the loss to the Packers, and that he is satisfied - "at peace'' - with that.

And one more tidbit from this talk, as it relates to Dak and Micah and the Cowboys as a whole ...
It doesn't matter how far you get,'' Parsons said, stressing that Dak should be grouped fairly with all the other top-notch non-winning QBs not named "Patrick Mahomes.'' "If you are going home and you don't have a ring, it doesn't matter.''
