Nick Bosa Gives Eagles-Beating 'Blueprint' To Dallas Cowboys: 'Watch The Tape!'

'The Blueprint!' San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa believes his team showed the NFL how to beat the Philadelphia Eagles, and advised the Dallas Cowboys to follow their lead.

With the NFC East lead on the line, the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night in what will almost certainly be the defining game of their season, at least before the playoffs.

Few have succeeded in slowing the Eagles down over the past two years, but the San Francisco 49ers passed that test with flying colors in a 42-19 win over Philly on Sunday. The 49ers held the normally-prolific Eagles offense to just 46 yards rushing, including only 20 by MVP hopeful quarterback Jalen Hurts, to help avenge last season's NFC Championship Game loss.

After that beatdown, Bosa believes that the rest of the NFL now knows how to beat the Eagles, and he advised the Cowboys to follow that game plan closely.

“Yeah, I mean, you see it on tape, though," Bosa told reporters. "Obviously, we put the blueprint out there. Hopefully the Cowboys watch the tape."

“We made Jalen stay in the pocket and escape outside instead of those B-gaps, and it paid off. Because Jalen is looking at the rush every play, so you just have to be disciplined and not give him that quick escape route where he can get to his guys quick.”

With the ground game not as effective as usual, the Eagles were forced to go out of their comfort zone and rely on their aerial attack. While Hurts put up an impressive stat line, completing 26 of 45 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown, it wasn't nearly enough to keep the game close.

For the Cowboys to replicate that success, Bosa says that they must work together to play a complete, complementary game on defense.

“When you play on a good team like this, a really good team, you have to sometimes give up some of the selfish-type statistics (such as) rushing out of your gap, stuff like that, for the bigger picture,” Bosa said. “And I think we did that great.

“We made Jalen stay in the pocket and escape outside instead of those B gaps, and it paid off.”
