Eagles Ex Michael Vick: 'I Love Andy Reid' as Bold Pick For GOAT Coach

Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has an interesting take on who should be considered the greatest coach of all time.

For most NFL fans, their pick for the greatest coach ever goes to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

However, during an appearance on 'It Needed To Be Said' with Tyreek Hill, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick expressed a different opinion than most fans. He believes that former Eagles coach and current Kansas City Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, should be considered the greatest coach ever.

"He might be the greatest coach of all time,'' Vick said. "You don't have to win as many championships to be considered. I love that man to death. Like for real, I'd do anything for you."

One of Vick's primary reasons for ranking Reid above Belichick is the Patriots coach's reliance on Tom Brady as his quarterback. While Belichick and Brady formed an iconic duo that secured six Super Bowl victories for the Patriots, Vick argues that Reid's success has depended less on one player.

"You know, I understand Belichick and Brady and that whole dynamic. But coach [Reid] did it in Philly, and then he's doing it in KC," Vick said.

Reid played a significant role in helping Vick revive his career, as the quarterback (after being suspended and imprisoned for his dog-fighting activity) won the Comeback Player of the Year award in 2010 with Reid as his head coach. However, beyond their collaboration, Reid has an impressive resume that substantiates his claim to be considered the GOAT coach.

Reid embarked on his head coaching career in 1999 and later joined the Chiefs after an impressive 14-year tenure with the Eagles. Reid's teams have amassed an impressive record of 247-138-1 throughout his coaching journey. With two Super Bowl championships to his name and a Coach of the Year title, Reid's accomplishments further solidify his status as a remarkable coach.

The Eagles will aim to halt Reid's pursuit of a third Super Bowl victory if the teams meet there for the second consecutive year.
