Ahead of their road matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni talked about the expectations placed on the team to make it back to the Super Bowl.

"Are we gonna be playing the same football that we played on February 12th last year right now?" Sirianni said. "No we're not, nobody is. We're on this climb again, you're starting back from the beginning so I think that there is expectations. The thing that we did best last year was take it one day at a time, one game at a time."

The Eagles had a wildly successful season last year, going 14-3 and securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC. They coasted through the playoffs, throttling the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers on their way to the Super Bowl.

In Super Bowl LVII, Philadelphia matched up with the Kansas City Chiefs in one of the most thrilling championships in recent memory. The Chiefs and MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes came out on top, winning 38-35 to earn a second Super Bowl ring despite an all-time performance from Eagles' star quarterback Jalen Hurts

Now, Sirianni and company look to return to the big game and win it this time, something that has only been done twice in history, by the Dallas Cowboys in 1970-71 and the New England Patriots in 2017-18. Only five other times has a team even returned to the Super Bowl after losing in the game the previous season.

Philadelphia is 2-0 to start the season with wins over the Patriots and Minnesota Vikings. Next up is a Monday Night Football matchup on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 25 at 7:15 p.m.
